Simply delicious waffles — perfect for breakfast, lunch, or a snack! Crispy on the outside, soft and tender inside, with a light vanilla aroma and a subtle sourdough flavor. Definitely save this recipe
Ingredients:

Flour — 200 g
Sourdough starter — 100 g
Cottage cheese (farmer’s cheese or quark) — 250 g
Eggs — 3
Butter (melted) — 80 g
Sugar — 80 g
Vanilla sugar — 10 g
Milk — 80 g
Baking powder — 6 g
Salt — a pinch
Instructions:
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt.
Add melted butter, milk, cottage cheese, and sourdough starter. Mix until smooth (you can use a blender for a creamier texture).
Add flour mixed with baking powder. Stir until you get a thick but soft batter.
Let the batter rest for 20–30 minutes — the sourdough will make your waffles extra fluffy.
Bake in a preheated waffle maker until golden brown.
Serve with:
Honey 🍯, berries 🍓, whipped cream, or your favorite jam.
These waffles stay soft and tasty even the next day — just warm them up in a toaster and enjoy!
