Homemade Sourdough Croutons


Ingredients

  • 5-6 slices of Sourdough bread (cut into ¾ inch cubes)

  • 40ml olive oil

  • 2 teaspoons finely chopped parsley or dill ( can be used dry)

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

  • Black pepper (to taste)




Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F degrees.  Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Add bread cubes to a large bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Toss to coat. Sprinkle in paprika, parsley, garlic power, salt and pepper. Toss to coat.

  • Spread the bread cubes out in a single layer on a baking sheet.

  • Bake until golden, tossing halfway through, about 20-25 minutes, keeping an eye on them so they don’t burn.

  • Remove from oven, and let cool.

  • Enjoy!


Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks, or freeze for up to 2 months. To use, bake the frozen croutons on a baking sheet at 300°F until thawed and crisp.
