Classic Buttermilk Waffles

Ingredients:

  • 60 g butter (melted)

  • 20 g sugar

  • 1 pinch of salt

  • 1 sachet or 1 tsp vanilla sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 125 g flour

  • 0.5 tsp baking powder

  • 125 ml buttermilk

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Wet Mixture:

    • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt until pale and creamy.

    • Add the buttermilk and melted butter, and stir until well combined.

  2. Mix Dry Ingredients:

    • In a separate bowl, combine the flour and baking powder.

    • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, whisking until smooth (no lumps).

  3. Cook the Waffles:

    • Preheat your waffle iron and lightly grease it if needed.

    • Pour in the batter (about 1 ladle or as per your waffle iron’s capacity).

    • Cook until golden brown and crisp.

  4. Serve:

    • Serve warm with your favorite toppings: fresh fruit, syrup, powdered sugar, or whipped cream.
